Wednesday Poetry Prompt: Nobody’s Worth…
Nobody’s worth a nickel
Nobody’s worth a dime.
If you can’t pay
The price of admission
Then don’t commit the crime.
You gave salvation army
The very shirt you wore
And you gave me a piece of your mind so often
There can’t be that much more.
You’ve willed your body to science
And pledged your soul to god
You gave your blood to the good red cross
But you can’t give me your word.
You’re not worth my nickel.
You’re not worth my dime.
You’re not worth the the price of admission.
You’re not worth my time.
For this week’s prompt, I want you to write a poem that has the title “Nobody’s worth (blank)” in which you replace the (blank) with a word or phrase. For instance, you could have the following titles: “Nobody’s worth a nickel;” “Nobody’s worth that kind of headache;” or “Nobody’s worth missing the Ohio State-Michigan game.”
