SummerSongs: Herein lies a tale

When I was in elementary school, the ultimate of being dirty was to take a title and add “under the sheets”. Movies, books, songs, all went their merry way.

I’m so much more mature these days.

Summer breeze
under the boardwalk, up on the roof:
Tell me something good.

In the summertime
(Hazy, crazy, Summertime)
Brown-eyed girl from
the house of the rising sun
sitting on the dock of the bay.
Brandy, you’re a fine girl, can’t take my eyes off of you.
Pretty woman, California girl,
(she’s got diamonds on the soles of her shoes)
been grazing on the grass (it’s a gas)
and now she’s
groovin’
on a
stoned soul picnic.

Here comes the sun, lookin for a little afternoon delight,
hot fun in the summertime.
Ramblin Man,
(don’t mess around with any old rambling man),
he put the lime in the coconut and drink it right up.
Said hey babe, take a walk on the wild side
I’m digging those good vibrations.

(Wild thing, I think
he wants to be close to
your itsy bitsy teenie yellow polka dot
centerfield,
sea of love.)

Wipeout.

Where did our love go?

Raindrops keeep falling.

Take it easy.
There ain’t no cure for the summertime blues.

[couldn't work all of them in, but most of the songs are from my list]
